Roadshows & Multi-City Programmes

The same event in six cities in nine days — a repeatable kit, a travelling core team, local delivery in each market and one consistent standard.

A roadshow is not six events. It is one event performed six times, and the risk is drift: by city four the deck has changed, the room set is different, the local agency has improvised the catering and nobody can say what the third city actually cost.

We build a kit — set, technical package, run of show, registration, catering standard, briefing pack — and a travelling core team who carry it. Local partners deliver against the same specification in each market, and the reporting comes back in one shape.

Sequence the route around the build

The route is decided by load-out times, freight transit, crew rest and flight schedules — not by a map. A three-hour flight between cities can be less workable than a six-hour drive if the kit has to arrive before the crew.

Kit it so it is repeatable

A set that fits the smallest room on the route, a technical package that works in a hotel ballroom and a converted warehouse, and a room layout defined in a diagram rather than described. Repeatability is a design constraint from the first sketch.

Local delivery, one standard

Local crews and suppliers in each market work to the same written specification, brief and checklist. The travelling core team carries the standard between cities so that city six looks like city one.

Report per city and in total

Registrations, attendance, no-show rate, cost per attendee and lead quality by city. That comparison is usually the most valuable output — it tells you which markets to keep on next year’s route.

What you get

Deliverables, not intentions.

These are the artefacts that exist at the end of this workstream. If one of them is missing from a proposal you have received elsewhere, it is worth asking why.

Questions

Roadshows & Multi-City Programmes — the awkward ones.

Two to three cities a week is comfortable for a half-day format with a modest kit. Four is possible with two crews leapfrogging. Beyond that the failure is crew fatigue rather than logistics, and the quality drop shows on stage.
