Asia Pacific · BKK
Bangkok Scale and value in the same city
Large venues, deep hotel inventory and a cost base that lets a big programme stay ambitious.
The honest version
Bangkok gives you convention-scale infrastructure at a cost that makes larger programmes affordable, plus a hospitality industry that genuinely enjoys the work. For incentive and conference programmes wanting reach without a European price, it is one of the strongest options in Asia.
The constraint is traffic. Distances that look trivial on a map take an hour at the wrong time, so venue and hotel choice is really a transfer-planning decision.
Best suited to
- Large conferences and conventions
- Incentive programmes and achiever trips
- Regional dealer and distributor meets
- Trade exhibitions with an ASEAN audience

Operating notes
What actually decides whether Bangkok works for you.
Airlift, hotel capacity, ground and season — in that order, and before anyone falls in love with a photograph.
Access and airlift
Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is a major hub with strong Asian, European and Gulf connections; Don Mueang (DMK) serves regional low-cost traffic. Visa-free entry for many nationalities.
Hotels and capacity
Very deep across every category, with excellent value at the top end and genuine capacity for large blocks.
Ground and distance
Traffic is the planning problem. Skytrain and MRT work well for smaller groups; coach movements need real time allowances and a route briefing.
Season and calendar
November to February is cool and dry and books early. The rainy season is manageable for indoor programmes. Songkran in April closes much of the city.
