Financial services events carry two constraints most sectors do not: what is said in the room may be market-sensitive, and what is spent on the guest may have to be justified to a regulator or a compliance function.

Entitlement before access
Shareholder verification, analyst accreditation, press separation and a door exception process that does not create a queue or an accidental admission.
Confidentiality is operational
No public signage, no delegate list on display, staff briefed, materials collected, and meeting rooms that do not share a wall with an open bar.
Hospitality has to be defensible
Per-head values recorded, gifts within policy, and an itemised record by attendee for the compliance file.
The webcast is the bigger audience
For investor events, more people watch than attend. Audio, slide legibility and stream reliability outrank the room’s set design.
