Associations & Non-Profits
Member-funded organisations where the congress is both the year’s biggest service and a substantial part of the income.
The shape of the work
For most associations the annual congress is the largest thing they do and a meaningful share of their revenue. It has to serve members, satisfy sponsors and exhibitors, and return a surplus — usually with a volunteer committee making the decisions.
We work to the committee’s calendar and constitution, run the abstract and programme workflow, and manage the three revenue lines separately because they are three different customers.
What this sector needs from an agency
- Committee and volunteer coordination
- Abstract submission and peer review
- Sponsorship and exhibition sales support
- Member registration and tiering
- Congress bid and destination rotation support
- Surplus-focused budget management
Sector reality
Four things that decide the plan.
The committee is the client
Decisions are made by volunteers between their own jobs. Deadlines slip, and the plan has to absorb that without losing the print and floorplan dates.
The congress funds the year
Registration, sponsorship and exhibition each need managing as a business line with its own targets and its own delivery record.
Rotation means starting again
A congress that moves city each year loses local knowledge annually. Written destination playbooks and a consistent operating model are the counterweight.
Member data outlives the event
Associations hold long-lived member records across jurisdictions. Registration must fit that, and the export has to land in their system cleanly.

Content-dense events with live product on stage, a technical audience that notices when something fails, and attendance that has to be earned.

Compliance is not a review at the end. It decides the venue, the catering, the travel class, the contracting and what the record has to show.
SectorBFSBanking & Financial Services
Precision, confidentiality and a record that survives scrutiny — with hospitality that has to be defensible as well as good.
